Time for a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches! I pulled myself away from making 3-D projects with the new Cricut Artiste Collection to bring you a card. I have to admit...I seriously thought about trying the sketch out on a purse though! Here is the original sketch design-
My card is created with the new Clementine paper packet, which is featured in the new Fall/Winter 2012 Idea Book by Close To My Heart. My cupcake was cut with the new Artiste cartridge.
Design Tips-I cut the cupcake in Colonial White and then sponged on Chocolate Ink to mimic chocolate cake. I cut the wrapper out of a coordinating Clementine paper. I cut the icing out of the small floral print Clementine paper to mimic sprinkles. After cutting, I applied a thin layer of Pearl Paint to mimic frosting. For my candle, I rolled bakers twine around a toothpick. My cupcake is mounted on foam tape to accommodate the candle and add dimension to the card.
The stamp set shown here is included in the Cricut Artiste Collection. All supplies by Close To My Heart:
